A Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS) is a specialized undergraduate program that integrates the principles of computer science with a deep understanding of business systems. This interdisciplinary degree is designed to produce graduates who can navigate the complex intersection of technology and business, making them valuable assets in today's digital-centric and business-driven world.

 

B.Tech in CSBS with the TCS Collaboration Program

 

To meet the growing demands of Industry 4.0, the global Industry experts and academicians have designed emerging undergraduate program and named it Computer Science and Business System. CSBS curriculum is an outcome of the MoU between TCS and AICTE, signed in 2018.

 

In Indian peninsula, TCS is the pioneer for this flagship one of a kind program. The program aims to create business engineers who would be futuristic and ensure a holistic development. The CSBS program would help B.Tech Undergraduate students to develop themselves as Global leaders and would learn by training under strong industry and academic presence. There are 24 subjects under the program which aims to meet cutting edge industry demands with industry oriented syllabus.

 

IoT, Robotics, Financial Management, Deep Learning, Design Thinking, Entrepreneurship and IP Management etc are the few subjects. Over the course of past 5 years, there is growing number of institutions offering B.Tech in CSBS. In 2018, there were merely 3 colleges across the nation to offer CSBS program. Today there are around 55 colleges with more than 5000 students enrolled under the program.

 

CSBS empowers the students to convert future challenges into thriving opportunities. It empowers the students with technical expertise and sound business knowledge. It is a innovation driven to give thrust to startups, business and Entrepreneurship. TCS CSBS program is for NextGen Business Engineers. This program would build industry ready engineers with sound in depth knowledge of business and digital skills. TCS also arrange lectures for industry specific subjects. And also provide internships.

 

The core subjects of computer science are integrated with business systems under the program. The professional core course (CSE) accounts for 76% and Humanities and Social Science contribute for rest 24% in the program. The business systems laid major focus on-

 

1. Humanities - Operations Research, Statistics, Probability, Applied Physics etc.

 

2.  Management Sciences - Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, Business Strategy etc.

 

3.  Human Values - Business Communication, Indian Constitution, Environmental studies etc.

 

TCS provide a dedicated support to actively train and mentor faculty members. It ensures delivery of industrial training and love projects. The teaching learning process is also evaluated by TCS.
