We cannot imagine this beautiful world & our life without Electricity so the above title is very true. After the invention of electricity, things started moving fast & it was the beginning of modern technologies & innovations in all the fields of Civilizations.
It’s rightly said that Electric Power is the backbone of Modern Industrial Society.
The theory of electromagnetism was developed in the 19th century and by the end of that century, electricity was being put to industrial and residential use by electrical engineers. The rapid expansion in electrical technology at this time transformed industry & society becoming a driving force for the Second Industrial Revolution.
The extraordinary versatility of electricity means that it can be put into an almost limitless set of applications that include transport, heating, lighting, communications, and calculations.
All the household devices which are a basic need for us to live in comfort are run by electricity if I name few electric bulbs & tube lights for lighting, fans for circulation of air, Mixer Grinder for preparation of food, Microwave for cooking, Electric Iron for Ironing of clothes, Washing machines for washing of clothes, Coolers & Air conditioners for Summer Cooling, Heaters in winter to maintain temperature, Greasers for hot water in bathrooms many more countless gadgets all of them work on electricity so if there is no power or a power cut then life will be miserable for all of us.
Electricity is at the heart of many modern technologies and electrical energy where electric power is used for energy equipment and prepares them to do a useful job. Electronics deal with electric circuits that involve active electrical components such as vacuum tubes, transistors, diodes integrated circuits, and associated passive interconnection technologies.
Nowadays nothing is purely run by electrical all the devices are electronically controlled & Electronics Engineering is a sub-discipline of Electrical engineering that emerged in the 20th century and is distinguished by the additional use of active components such as semiconductors devices to amplify and control electric current flow.
That’s why in the early 21st century new branch emerged which is Electrical & Electronics Engineering. This is one of the best disciplines for Engineering Graduates.
So it’s right to quote that, “ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING ARE THE LIFE LINE OF MODERN CIVILIZATION.”
