Dr. Alok Agrawal, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SIRT, was invited by NMDC DAV Polytechnic College, Dantewada to deliver an online expert talk on “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking and Innovative Design” under IIC (Institution’s Innovation Council).

Dr. Alok Agrawal delivered an expert talk on the topic “Fundamentals of Polymer Composites and their Application in Microelectronic Components” during a Two-Week Online Professional Training Program on “Allied Tools and Techniques under Interdisciplinary Engineering Fields for Learning Sustainability” on 12 January 2026. The program was organized by the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering, School of Studies in Engineering and Technology, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur.

Dr. Alok Agrawal delivered an expert talk on the topic “Fundamentals and Techniques of Writing Research Proposal” during a One-Week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on 22 January 2026, organized by SAGE University, Bhopal.

Prof. Amit Viswakarma participated in a one-day National Workshop on “Advanced Characterization Tools and Techniques for Materials Science and Engineering”, organized by the Department of Applied Physics, Amity University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, on 26 November 2025.

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), AICTE organized a one-day Regional Meet on 02 December 2025 at Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Gaurav Sahu, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SIRT, successfully participated in the event and attended various sessions focused on developing IIC activities at the college level.

Dr. Gaurav Sahu participated in the 3-day 12th Bhopal Vigyan Mela and was awarded a Certificate of Teacher Training Programme. The event was organized by Madhya Pradesh Council of Science & Technology (MPCST), Bhopal, and held from 26 September to 29 September 2025.

Prof. Shivendra Singh participated in a 7-day National Level Professional Development Programme on “Analysis and Simulation of Engineering Systems”, organized by Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai, from 03 November to 09 November 2025.

Prof. Dheeraj Jain  Published a research paper in IJARSET Journal on “Experimental Investigation of Effect of Compression Ratio on Performance and Emission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine” in International Journal of Advanced Research In Science, Engineering And Technology ISSN Number: 2350-0328, of IJARSET, Volume 11, Issue 12, December 2024.

Five students of final year namely Satendra Kushwaha, Vishal Thakur, Meghanand Yadav, Ravindra Kumar, Vikash Kumar along with his mentor Dr. Alok Agrawal filed a patent on “Hybrid Solar and Wind Energy for Street Light”

Dr. syed Faisal Ahmed filed a patent on Internet of Things based Plant Watering Device Integrated with Plant Pots.

Dr. Alok Agrawal has reviewed one paper on Polymer Composite.

Prof. Amit Vishwakarma Published a Book titled “BASIC MECHANICAL ENGINEERING” through Swastik International Publication. The book covers fundamental concepts of mechanical engineering and is designed to be especially helpful for first-year engineering students.
