Head of Department

She has approx 18 years of teaching and research experience. She is an eminent scholar and energetic researcher with excellent teaching and research skills. Her research interests spans power system, power electronics and soft computing techniques. Much of her research work is on transmission system planning, optimization and cost allocation among market players. She has authored/coauthored several international books including Advances in Nature-inspired Computing and Applications from Springer, USA and has published over 40 quality research papers in Journals and Conferences. She has delivered many expert lectures and was invited for expert talk on "Indian Education System: Challenges and Opportunities" at ‘Summit of Leaders 2016’, Oxford-UK. She has received several Awards including University Gold Medal for BE in 2004 and Young Scientist Award in 2009. She is Senior Member, IEEE and life member of several other International Associations and Organizations. She also received 1 Indian,1 international patent granted in 2021.
